The U.S. Foreign Policy Colloquium (FPC), for those who aren't
familiar with this Washington-based program, is an annual event
designed to help Chinese graduate students (in any discipline) better
understand the complex forces that shape American foreign policy.

Each June, the National Committee on US-China Relations convenes 150
to 200 PRC graduate students from many different disciplines and from
universities throughout the United States for two and a half days of
direct interaction with current and former Administration officials
and members of Congress, as well as representatives from the military,
media, academia, think tanks, NGOs, business and lobbying groups.
More information on the program can be found at our website:
www.ncuscr.org/programs/fpc.

The ninth session of the FPC will begin the late afternoon of
Wednesday, May 30 and end with a farewell party on Friday night, June
1.  The venue is The George Washington University's Elliot School of
International Affairs.  This year we are working with the Sigur Center
for Asian Affairs at the Elliott School on this terrific program.  We
always have excellent speakers and this year is no exception:  the
keynote speker is Dr. Zbigniew Brzezinski and just yesterday we were
able to confirm that we will have former Secretary of Labor Elaine
Chao, former Ambassador to China Joe Prueher and a fabulous economist
Mark Zandi -- all on one panel!!
