Need help from UW visiting scholar

I have a friend in a University in Beijing, she got a chance to visit US, fund will be provided by her school for 10 month. She needs an invitation letter from US. He field is mainly in information/computer related.

Could you provide some information on how to contact professors and get invitation letter?

sent a letter to any professors whose field is in information /computer related directly
